Questions from the people who review DataBridge
Short answers, each with a link to the page that shows it working.
Budget and pilot
How was it tested?
We test DataBridge on synthetic company data with known answers, so every result can be checked. Each result carries its date, and a pilot runs the same checks on your files.
How much does DataBridge by Walnut cost, and how long is a pilot?
Walnut does not publish DataBridge prices or pilot length. Write to outreach@walnut.sg to ask.
Daily use
Does DataBridge replace our systems?
Your systems keep running. DataBridge reads data where it sits and feeds the tools you choose, so an old system can be retired on your own schedule.
What happens to knowledge when people leave?
Decisions, corrections and the context behind them are kept in the record with their evidence, so they stay when the person who made them moves on.
Data and models
Which work needs AI?
Matching records, reconciling figures, building reports and exporting use ordinary software and no AI, so the same data always gives the same result.
Does DataBridge make up answers?
No. Where the record cannot support an answer, it says so and names what is missing, instead of inventing one. Every number in a sentence the AI writes is checked against the fact it cites, or the sentence is refused.
IT, privacy and vendor risk
Does anything leave our network?
When it is installed on your own premises, nothing is uploaded and nothing connects out. DataBridge is built to be customisable: it is configured to each organisation's environment and needs.
Who sees what?
Each person sees only what their role allows. Your administrators set the roles once, and access follows each person's role from then on.
Can we leave, and take everything?
Export the whole record in standard formats, and we restore it into a fresh system in front of you, so you can see nothing was lost.
What do our reviewers get before installation?
The disclosure policy and the model use statement are on this site.
Where can our IT team read the technical detail?
The Technical overview covers the architecture, model options, data handling, access control, connectors, exports and what a security review receives.
What can DataBridge connect to?
Databases, documents, spreadsheets, email and the systems your teams already use, such as the CRM, the accounting system, the helpdesk and the team wiki.
About Walnut
What does DataBridge by Walnut do?
DataBridge connects the information spread across your existing systems into one record your teams can use.
Is DataBridge a search tool?
Search and retrieval tools cover part of this. DataBridge also links the same customer or case across systems, and every figure traces to its cell, line or page.
Who is behind DataBridge?
DataBridge is built by Walnut, a team of four, backed by SUTD VIE's Baby Shark Fund.
Where is Walnut based?
Walnut is based in Singapore.
